MITCH
An 18 year old basketball prodigy, a bright country boy too open minded for his own good, who discovers a talent that neither he nor anyone else in town could possibly have imagined.
CLAYTON
Mitch’s father, who years ago fled Tiny for the big city, abandoning his young son and wife in the process, only to forced from that life when his partner passes away.
BOBBY
At age 21, Mitch’s best friend, three years his senior, whose life forever changed in a hunting accident for which Mitch blames himself, and whose struggles strongly parallel Clayton’s before he left Tiny.
SHARON
Mitch’s mother, and Clayton’s ex-wife, who takes control of the family pecan business as a way to provide for her son and now faces her only child leaving the nest.
COACH PICKLE
Mitch’s overly ambitious basketball coach and stepfather, and Sharon’s second husband, who is secretly plotting his own future.
EVE
A New York City based ballet teacher, the third one of Mitch’s basketball career, who Coach Pickle brings in to prepare him for collegiate level but she has an unexpected influence on Mitch.
WYATT
Clayton’s pal who stayed in Tiny and is now a deputy sheriff and an assistant coach for Mitch’s basketball team.
ANGELICA
Mitch’s girlfriend, a petite Hispanic girl, who loves Mitch almost as much as Jesus.
UNCLE HENRY
Bobby's embittered uncle who runs the town dump and who is running from his past.
